Hopeton Lewis – “Groovin’ Out on Life”

Here is the slideshow from the private party we dj-ed in NJ over the weekend. They were huge fans of Sirius’ 1st Wave radio station, especially Richard Blade, which I love as well. It’s a great show to find offbeat 80s tracks in addition to a lot of one hit wonders. Here is a sample playlist from 1st wave. We also spun a mix house, hip hop, soul, new wave/ synth pop, downtempo, electro jazz and roots reggae. The song below, Don’t Change by INXS, is a great example of a track you might hear on First Wave that you might not have heard before. It was INXS’ first hit and one of my favorites by them, yet much less played or as popular as tracks from their album Kick.
