Requesting songs for djs

Funny article over on gothamist about etiquette for requesting songs from djs, the comments below are hilarious! Personally I don't think there is any rule, every event is different, sometimes people have great requests, other times they are good but not for that moment.  It's much better for djs when there is a (not easily accessible) booth but at events when you have people coming up to you all the time it can it can be annoying.
