Dj-ed a private party Friday night on the Upper East Side. The couple who threw the party had an amazing collection of music playing while we were setting up, Melody Garot, Dexter Gordon, Leonard Cohen, etc.
The shuffle turned up this beautiful song title Dibi Dibi Rek by Senegalese guitarist Ismael Lo, it was a huge hit for him. If you enjoy African music visit our African Blues and Jazz categories.

One of my all time favorites, Cape Verdean singer Césaria Evora died yesterday. Her voice is beautiful and often meet people at events who share the love of her music. There's really nothing else like it. Favorite album is Cafe Atlantico, amazing from start to finish, can pick out any track they are all great.
