djnyc @ Williamsburg Music Hall - 05-10-08
Here are some photos from the Williamsburg Music Hall. We were there Saturday night, it's an excellent space for private events, just small enough to be intimate, large enough to have a great party.

We were at the W Hotel last night in Union Square djing a private party. They have this amazing, huge ballroom on the second floor with 40' tall ceilings. It looks like it was an old bank similar to the two converted on the corner of 14th st and 8th ave. The event was more of a mixer/ cocktail party that turned into more of a party towards the end. Enjoy the photos!
We were at Battery Gardens on over the weekend. I'm not sure when the last time a windmill or snail was on display there, but "the breaks" were in full effect on Friday.
We were at the Yale Club on Satuday night for the first wedding of 2008. All signs pointed towards Manhattan being one big traffic jam with the Pope's visit and Earth day both happening at the same time. The Yale Club sits right in the middle of the streets that were blocked off for the pope. Incredibly it was smooth sailing and a relaxing day and excellent evening. They have an amazing rooftop lounge where the cocktail hour was held, perfect for spring or summer, and they staff at the Yale Club is top notch.

Here a few photos from the premiere after party we dj-ed at Galway Hooker on Wed. It was more of reception/ bar atmosphere and less of a dance party which is always a blast to dj because it allows you more latitude in terms of what you can play. There were a lot of music aficionados there as well. Here are a few of the key tracks we played:
1. The Whole Of The Moon - Waterboys
2. Bad Town - Operation Ivy
3. A Message To You Rudy - The Specials
4. Light My Fire - Stevie Wonder

10. Tainted Love - Gloria Jones
The private party we dj-ed Saturday was a 50th birthday. Most of the people were from Masschussetts and huge Patriot fans as well, you can see in one photo they were joking around with a Manning jersey. I, like most New Yorkers, was just silently praying the Giants would pull out the victory and we wouldn't have to spend the next 50 years hearing about the 2007 "Perfect Patriots". Alas, the wish was granted. It was awesome to see their 3 kids singing original songs to their parents. I'm again reminded I need to work on actually playing music more than spinning it. There are more photos I'll post the rest tomorrow!
Here are a few photos from the Katra event we dj-ed the other night.
