The Housing Works bookstore is one of those off beat gems in New York City where they have live events many times throughout the year, from music to djs to weddings to private parties. We were there last year for a dj event and have a private party there in the Spring as well. Highly recommended if you are looking for an interesting non cookie cutter place to hold your event.
