Some great feedback from a wedding we dj-ed in May at the Chapel in Sandy Hook, NJ.

“Okay so part of why my wedding was so incredibly amazing was because we had the best DJ’s in the entire world. And I mean WORLD. We used DJNYC based in (obviously) NYC but they were willing to travel all the way to Sandy Hook, NJ for our bay side wedding. We worked with Dan and Sean and they were the most amazing, down to earth, super friendly guys that I have ever met. They basically knew every song we wanted to play including some really underground stuff (think: Feist, MIA, M.Ward) and all of the really fun songs on the radio (think: Katy Perry, Lady Gaga) and not on the radio anymore but still super fun and reminiscent of our 13 year old selves (think: Spice Girls, Green Day).

Please please check them out. They were wonderful! We loved them (as you can tell from the picture of us all dancing!) “

Received some amazing feedback for a wedding we dj-ed at the Rockleigh Country Club in May.

DJ NYC are awesome! Ed and I found them through a friend who had been to a wedding they were working and said that they had everyone dancing all night! From the first time I spoke with Dan on the phone to meeting Dan and Sean in person, they have been so easy and fun to work with. They were the first appointment we made with DJ’s and our last because as soon as we met them we knew they would do an awesome job. They sat down and took the time to get to know us even before talking about music and wedding details. They listened and took notes on what we wanted, such as music genres, artists, and even gave us suggestions.

DJNYC were a HUGE help with choosing ceremony music, which was something I didn’t have time to do. Sean emailed us lists of traditional and unique suggestions and I was able to choose all my music from his recommendations. Our favorite choice was “All You Need Is Love” by Vitamin String Quartet for our bridal party processional. DJNYC are very professional and know so much about music.

They are a great team and so easy to work with. Everyone danced all night and at the end of the wedding we found ourselves hanging out with them instead of our friends! Ed and I would highly recommend DJ NYC!

Received some great feedback from a wedding we dj-ed at the Lotos Club a couple weeks ago!

We hired djnyc for our April wedding (in a private club on the Upper East Side) in NYC and could not be more thrilled with our decision. Everyone absolutely loved them and they really made the party come to life. We were concerned that it would be difficult to find a DJ to please our crowd, which was a mix of younger people in their 20s and older Jewish and Asian relatives. After interviewing a few potential DJs, we were worried that we wouldn’t be able to find the right match. But once we met Sean and Dan, something clicked and we knew that they were the DJs for us.

DJ NYC are true professionals and have great personalities. After finding out that they were available for our date, Sean and Dan suggested that we meet to go over our likes and dislikes and the timeline of toasts/dancing/cake-cutting. We were so impressed with how proactive and thorough they were. They were so detail-oriented and committed to making our wedding the best it could be. Most of our requests had been for pop-dance music for our younger crowd, but they suggested a few older songs for our parents and relatives, which I was SO happy about in retrospect, because the older crowd really would’ve been left out otherwise. During dinner, the older relatives perked up after hearing songs that they recognized and loved. Sean and Dan are so knowledgeable about every genre of music that they were able to create a good balance of music, culturally and generationally.

The entire night went flawlessly because of Sean and Dan’s expertise. They were able to gauge the crowd and switch up the music accordingly. They transitioned from hava nagila, to top 40s pop, to bossa nova seamlessly. My friends and I danced all night up until the venue needed to close down! Everyone kept coming up to us all night to comment on how great the DJs were. Sean and Dan are the best! Thank you so much for making our wedding a success!
