This blog will include recommendations for some of my favorite music from all over the world including funk, soul, reggae, latin soul, salsa, merengue, trip hop and electro jazz. I'm always picking through compilations, stacks of records, collections etc trying to find those gems that I want to share with others when djing in New York City or wherever. There is so much amazing music out there I figured it would be nice to create a guide without any outside influence. Like most people I want to find that one place that always makes great recommendations (like KCRW). I'd love to hear from other djs, music aficionados, etc. in the New York City Area.

Looking for New York City Djs

Fan of KCRW, Garth Trinidad, Gilles Peterson, Norman Jay? We're currently looking for djs in New York who are interested in one of these two positions:

1) An MC/ assistant with basic mixing skills to help with events. We're looking for someone who is a great MC who has a refined, upbeat (yet not over the top) style and can help with carrying equipment (50lbs).

2) A dj with experience djing fashion shows, private parties and events who has their own equipment and can MC as well. We're interested in people who have a passion for music and have a unique style. If you like some of the music on our site and on the music selections page we'd love to hear from you.
