The Definitive Collection of Federal Records (1964-1982)
September 9, 2010
This is an excellent compilation of ska and roots reggae released by Federal Records in July. There are so many lesser known gems on here including:
Hopetown Lewis – “Take It Easy,”
The Granville Williams Orchestra – “Hi-Life aka High-Life aka Happy Brass,
Ken Lazarus – “Put Yourself In My Place”,
Delroy Wilson – “I’m Still Waiting” and
The Maytals – “My Daily Food”.
This is definitely on the list for one of djnyc’s top album releases of 2010.
